Terms & Conditions

Scope of Services & Responsibilities

JBI provides electrical, instrumentation, automation, and related technical services as agreed with each client. All work is carried out to the best of our professional ability, following relevant Australian and New Zealand standards and site-specific safety requirements. Before work begins, we may request access to site information, drawings, or permits needed to complete tasks safely and correctly. Any changes to the scope — including additional tasks, variations, or unforeseen issues discovered on-site — may result in updated timelines or additional charges, which will be communicated clearly before proceeding.

Pricing, Invoicing & Payment Terms

Unless otherwise stated, all quotes are estimates based on information available at the time. Pricing may change if conditions differ, new work is requested, or extra materials are required. Invoices are issued upon completion of work or as agreed for larger projects, with payment required by the due date listed on the invoice. Late payments may incur reasonable fees or interest to cover administrative costs. Materials, equipment hire, travel, and subcontractor charges may be billed separately if not included in the original agreement. Ownership of supplied parts or equipment remains with JBI until full payment is received.

Safety, Liability & Site Conditions

JBI follows all relevant AU and NZ safety laws and expects clients to provide safe access to worksites, including any required inductions, permits, or isolation procedures. We are not liable for delays caused by unsafe conditions, unprepared sites, or factors outside our control. While we take care to protect client property, JBI is not responsible for pre-existing faults, hidden issues (such as wiring defects or equipment failure), or damage resulting from ageing systems. All work is performed using accepted industry practices, and warranties apply only to work completed by JBI and do not cover misuse, incorrect operation, or third-party interference.
